aQute and OSGi
Peter Kriens was one of the first members of the OSGi expert group that developed the OSGi release 1 specifications in 1998. In that year, Ericsson Research asked aQute to represent Ericsson in the meetings of the predecessor of the OSGi: the Connected Alliance. aQute attended all technical meetings and has contributed significantly to the specifications. In 2001 aQute was asked by the OSGi alliance to coordinate the publication of Service Platform Release 3 which continued in Release 4.
