About aQute

Introduction

aQute provides software consultancy with a focus on OSGi technology. Companies like Intel, Ericsson, Adobe, the OSGi Alliance, Deutsche Telekom, IBM, Telia, are among aQute’s customers - some for many years.

The key mission of aQute is "to get the job done." Sometimes this requires training people, sometimes it requires modeling, doing design or coding, and sometimes it requires a serious discussion with management. Using this multi-disciplinary approach, aQute makes it possible to find the best way through complex software development projects. Our enormous experience in software design (our first major system was built in 1978) means that we always have options that can be applied to solve your software design problems.

For many years aQute has been heavily involved with the OSGi Alliance. Peter Kriens, aQute’s founder, was one of the first persons to work on the residential gateway specification that later became the OSGi Service Platform. Since 2001 he has been employed by the OSGi Alliance to manage the specification process and act as the specification editor.
